Hand carving

Several pieces use pierced jaali or openwork carving. Material is removed from the stone to create floral, lattice and sculptural patterns that change as light moves across or through the object.

Hand painting

The Rajasthani marble lantern is finished with hand-painted decorative work. Because the decoration is applied by hand, small differences in line, color placement and finish are expected.

Natural marble

Marble is a natural material. Veining, mineral markings, tone and surface character vary from piece to piece. Product photography represents the design and overall finish, not a promise that every natural marking will be identical.

What we verify

Artivana publishes material, technique and origin information that we can support. Artisan names, specific quarry claims and other provenance details are added only when they are confirmed.
